Cost Accountant

Your new companyA well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking a driven and experienced Cost Accountant to support its finance function on a 6-12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly influence operational decision-making and cost efficiency. You will play a key role in shaping accurate, insightful financial information that underpins business performance.Your new roleAs the Cost Accountant, you will take ownership of delivering timely, accurate product costing and manufacturing finance insights. Your responsibilities will include:

• Product Costing & Analysis
• Inventory Accounting
• Manufacturing Overhead Management
• SAP Ownership
• Process Improvement & Reporting

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing cost accounting role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles
• Proven SAP experience within a manufacturing environment
• Advanced Excel capability, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience with other ERP systems, lean manufacturing, or BI/data warehousing tools is beneficial
