The Role: Two Paths, One Future

Our client is looking for a "Subject Matter Expert" (SME) with a strong personality. You will be the bridge between what an accountant needs and what the software does. Right now, the role is fluid, allowing you to "pick up bits" across two exciting areas before choosing your permanent path:

Path A: The Product Architect (Future Head of Product)

• Be the Voice: You will be "in the weeds" of the product, identifying exactly what features are needed to help practices succeed.
• Translate & Influence: You'll translate complex accounting needs into technical briefs for the Dev Ops team.
• The "Push Back": We need a strong character who isn't afraid to challenge the product direction and ensure the flagship product stays relevant to real-world users.
• Global Collaboration: You will help manage and align product streams coming over from our successful international division.

Path B: The Expert Consultant & Trainer

• Credibility-Led Training: You'll lead high-level training for new clients, using your "When I was in practice " experience to build instant trust.
• Strategic Delivery: Training is delivered in "fits and starts"-averaging 10 days a year, with occasional intense periods (1 day a week) during major contract wins.
• Content Ownership: You will organise and manage the training library, ensuring the product is easy to learn and impossible to live without.

Who You Are

• Qualified Accountant: You are a Practice Accountant (Manager-level) (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with genuine experience working inside an accounting practice.
• Strong Character: You are an extrovert at heart. You enjoy communicating, presenting, and influencing people. This role requires someone who can lead a room, not sit in the corner.
• Problem Solver: You are naturally curious about how systems work and how they can be improved.
• Adaptable: You enjoy a "start-up" feel where you can learn the product from the ground up and have a direct hand in its success.
