Financial Accountant - FTC 6mnths

Interim Financial Accountant (6-Month Contract)/ Hybrid (3 days office, 2 wfh)We are looking for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join a group finance function on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a varied role which will start by supporting the Technical Accounting team, before transitioning to assist the Group Reporting team.Technical Accounting

• Support an integration project, with an emphasis on technical accounting.
• Draft and model papers for the Audit Committee, including complex transactions and IFRS 15 contract reviews.
• Maintain and update group accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to divisional and central finance teams.
• Lead impairment reviews and contribute to developments in IFRS and UK GAAP.

Group Reporting

• Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statement notes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and audit major joint venture and subsidiary accounts.
• Liaise with local finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
• Strong IFRS expertise, with experience in audit and financial governance.
• Previous experience drafting papers for audit committee
• Proven experience in external statutory reporting and accounting.
• Previous exposure to listed group reporting is desirable.
• Confident stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative approach.
• Available at short notice and able to work in the office 3 days a week.
• Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
