Cost Accountant

Mitchell Adam are working with a leading manufacturing organisation to support them in their search for a strong Accountant with multi-functional experience to support the team during a time of change. This is a high-impact role initially starting on an interim basis with the chance to stay on permanently.

Working closely with finance, procurement, supply chain, and production teams the successful candidate will take ownership of cost analysis, inventory valuation and the implementation of standard costing processes to improve overall financial performance and support business-critical decisions.

The responsibilities will include; delivering insightful product cost analysis to inform pricing, profitability, and strategic decisions. Analyse fixed and variable to determine production costs, supporting the introduction of standard costing and BOMs as well as collaborating with both financial and non-financial stakeholders to gather data and drive efficiency.

Ideally, you will:

• Be a part qualified or QBE accountant with a strong background in cost and product accounting, budgeting, and forecasting within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Hold proficient MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with NetSuite and OneStream is advantageous.

• Have strong analytical skills, and confident communication skills to be able to deliver complex data clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
• Be an effective cross-functional collaborator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
