Tax Assistant Manager

Join an award-winning accounting, tax, and advisory firm. As part of continued growth, my client is seeking a Tax Assistant Manager to enhance our tax team's capabilities and help maintain our high standards of client service.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, focusing on Self-Assessment and MTD
• Support the management team in the compliance process, including the review and preparation of complex tax returns.
• Maintain and enhance client relationships through effective communication, predominantly via telephone, email, online meetings, and face-to-face interactions when appropriate.
• Review and manage personal tax compliance processes for portfolio clients.
• Prepare and finalise accurate and timely tax return work for complex clients, ready for review.
• Collaborate with other service streams for multi-discipline service clients and take responsibility for collating information.
• Identify tax planning and wealth management opportunities and escalate these to develop new business and cross-selling opportunities.
• Adhere to the firm's risk management procedures and ensure professional standards, ethics, and risk management protocols are maintained.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified ATT and/or CTA with a minimum of 5 years relevant tax experience,
• Demonstrable technical knowledge in tax preparation, review, and finalisation.
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload.
