SALARY: £47,464 to £54,000 pro rata + Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid working partly from the office inEaling, West London (W5) and the remaining time from home

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 11 Month Fixed Term Contract

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a VFM Finance Analyst / Accountant to join a forward-thinking finance transformation team focused on delivering value and driving performance improvement.

As a VFM Finance Analyst / Accountant you will use benchmarking, financial modelling and data analysis to generate insight that supports strategic planning and executive decision-making. You will work with complex financial and regulatory data, producing clear reporting and performance metrics.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, the VFM Finance Analyst / Accountant will strengthen savings tracking, benefits realisation and cost analysis capability across the organisation, ensuring robust financial reporting and continuous improvement.

DUTIES

Your duties as theVFM Finance Analyst / Accountant include:

• Develop Benchmarking Models: Use publicly available data, regulatory information and sector insight to create meaningful performance comparisons
• Design Repeatable Processes: Establish and document sustainable benchmarking processes within Financial Services
• Maintain Savings Trackers: Operate and enhance benefits realisation and savings tracking tools, primarily Excel-based
• Produce Insightful Reports: Deliver high-quality financial reporting to support target setting and performance monitoring
• Support Transformation Projects: Assist the Director of Finance Transformation, acting in a Finance Analyst capacity on key initiatives
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Finance, Procurement and wider business teams to gather information and drive performance improvement
• Present to Senior Leaders: Communicate complex financial data and analysis clearly to Executive and Board audiences

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and data manipulation capability
• Previous experience producing insight-driven financial reporting for senior stakeholders
• Experience working with complex or unfamiliar data sets and researching external sources
• Proven experience of cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting or performance metrics
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to present to Executive level
• A collaborative approach with experience working across teams to achieve shared outcomes
• Persistent and resilient, with the ability to work independently through challenges
• Knowledge / Experience of the Social Housing sector (Highly desirable)
