Senior Reporting Accountant

A leading London market insurance business are looking for a Senior Reporting Accountant to join their finance department who will be responsible for technical accounting and control tasks related to the monthly and quarterly financial close process.

The main responsibilities of this Senior Reporting Accountant role will be:

• Responsible for various accounting, reconciliation, control and analysis tasks related to the monthly, quarterly and annual technical financial close process. Ensures the accurate and timely completion of the close process in accordance with the group close timetable
• Maintain accounting reconciliations between source systems and the General Ledger.
• Review and analyse financial results to ensure accuracy of the underwriting results at an appropriate level of granularity
• Produce various accounting and reporting schedules related to the financial close process
• Responsible for preparing and reviewing all reporting for the Service and Holding entities
• Works closely with other functions and stakeholders including actuarial, underwriting, ceded reinsurance, and IT to ensure the efficient delivery of the close process

The successful candidate for this Senior Reporting Accountant will need a strong understanding of current insurance industry standards and technical accountingany knowledge. The candidate must also be a qualified accountant or close to being qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
