Outsourcing Assistant Manager - Accountancy Practice

Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a reputable and expanding accountancy practice based in Liverpool city centre. The firm is seeking an experienced Outsourcing Assistant Manager to join their dynamic outsourcing and business services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional who enjoys client interaction, managing a small team, and delivering high-quality outsourced finance solutions to a varied portfolio.

• Manage a portfolio of outsourcing clients across a range of sectors, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT returns.

• Review work completed by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and technical support.

• Prepare more complex management accounts, cashflow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships and providing proactive advice.

• Oversee workflow, team planning, and deadlines across the outsourcing department.

• Support process improvements and implement best practice within the team.

• Assist with onboarding new clients and ensuring smooth transitions.

• Work closely with Managers and Directors to support growth initiatives and service delivery.

• Experience working within an accountancy practice, specifically within outsourced services or management accounts.

• ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist preferred (QBE also considered with strong relevant experience).

• Strong technical knowledge of management accounts, bookkeeping systems, and VAT.

• Confident using cloud accounting software (Xero, Dext, QuickBooks, or similar).

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.

• Ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and a small team effectively.
