Senior Accountant (Practice)

Xpert Resourcing are working with a friendly and growing accountancy firm who are looking to add this person to their team in order to manage a diverse portfolio of clients.

This position suits a capable practice accountant who enjoys owning client relationships, working through challenges, and delivering accurate, high-quality work end to end. You will oversee your own client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser and ensuring all compliance obligations are met efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties to Include:

• Overseeing a portfolio of Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
• Preparing and filing statutory accounts, tax returns (corporation and personal), VAT returns, and CIS
• Serving as the main point of contact and building long-term client relationships
• Responding to client queries with clear, practical solutions
• Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax compliance
• Comfortable working with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks
• Self-motivated, organised and able to manage a varied client workload independently

Experience/Skills Required:

• At least 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice
• Confident in using cloud software/ Xero, Quickbooks, etc
• Strong UK Accounting and tax compliance knowledge

Hours of Work:

37.50 hours per week plus paid lunch break
