You'll be trusted to take ownership of audit files, act as a key contact for clients, and play an important role in developing junior team members - all while continuing to progress towards Manager level.This is a role with genuine substance, not just a title change.What You'll Actually Be Doing Rather than sitting in the background, you'll be heavily involved in the full audit cycle and client relationship.Your responsibilities will include:
Taking the lead on audit assignments, from initial planning through to final completion
Being the day-to-day contact for clients, answering questions and guiding them through the process
Reviewing audit files and supporting team members with technical and practical guidance
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts in line with UK accounting standards
Spotting risk areas, resolving issues, and ensuring quality across all assignments
Helping to organise workloads, deadlines, and priorities across multiple engagements
Supporting and mentoring trainees and newly qualified staff
Working closely with senior leadership on larger and more complex assignments
