Senior Accountant - Accountancy Practice - Norwich

This well-regarded independent practice supports a broad mix of owner-managed businesses and private clients across Norfolk. Combining traditional advisory values with modern cloud accounting systems, the firm is continuing to expand and is now looking to appoint a confident Senior Accountant to strengthen the team.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time, office-based role in Norwich where you will take ownership of your own portfolio. You will be trusted to manage compliance work efficiently while also identifying opportunities to provide added-value advice.

• Managing a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts
• Completing Corporation Tax and Self-Assessment returns
• Overseeing VAT, CIS and payroll-related queries where required
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including QuickBooks and Xero
• Reviewing bookkeeping work and ensuring accurate financial reporting
• Acting as a key point of contact, offering practical and proactive guidance

What We're Looking For

• Strong recent experience within UK accountancy practice
• Confident preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of cloud-based systems such as Xero and/or QuickBooks
• Up-to-date understanding of UK tax compliance
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• AAT qualified or studying/qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA - though practical experience is equally valued
• Able to work on-site in Norwich
