Interim Financial Accountant - Private Equity Backed Business

I'm supporting a large, fast-paced private equity-backed organisation that is urgently seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to provide critical technical support during a busy period.

This role will suit someone who is confident working at pace, can quickly take ownership of key balance sheet areas, and is comfortable operating in a high-growth, PE-backed environment.

• Lead on fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation and reconciliations
• Manage intangible assets and ensure accurate reporting and compliance
• Take full ownership of intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
• Support month-end close activities and deliver accurate balance sheet controls
• Work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team to strengthen processes and ensure clean, reliable financial data
• Provide ad-hoc technical support during a period of increased activity

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - essential
• Strong experience in fixed assets and intercompany accounting
• A hands-on interim who can hit the ground running
• Experience in a private equity backed or fast-growth environment is advantageous
• Someone immediately available or able to start at very short notice

• Start date: Immediate
• Duration: Minimum 3 months (likely extension)
• Location: Nottingham - 1-2 days per week on-site, remainder remote
• Day rate: Competitive and dependent on experience
