As a Tax Senior within the Tax & Trust Accounting team, you'll lead on preparing self-assessment tax returns for the Partners and managing associated compliance responsibilities.

Description

  • Take ownership of preparing partners' personal tax returns and coordinating the payment of their tax liabilities.
  • Liaise with colleagues and external contacts to ensure smooth, timely delivery of all compliance work.
  • Handle a range of personal tax queries, offering guidance and support throughout the year.
  • Contribute to the training and day-to-day development of two Tax Apprentices.
  • Step into a varied role with real responsibility, working within a team that values collaboration, support, and professional growth.

Profile

A strong Tax Senior for this role will bring:

  • At least three years' experience in a personal tax environment, with solid exposure to complex individual compliance.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently across multiple systems.
  • Hands-on experience preparing partners' self-assessment tax returns, including an understanding of the nuances and challenges that come with partnership tax.
  • Relevant tax qualifications (ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA).
  • Knowledge of trusts, Inheritance Tax, and CCH software-beneficial but not essential for the right candidate.
