Client Details

Our client is a Big 4 professional services firm, recognised globally for delivering high-quality advisory, tax, audit, and consulting services to a broad range of organisations. Their people are at the centre of the business, bringing diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise that drive innovation and long-term client relationships. The role sits within the Midlands Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in either Birmingham or Nottingham. The team is collaborative, supportive, and encourages fresh thinking, with a strong focus on development and knowledge sharing.

Description

  • Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for clients on corporate tax matters
  • Supporting tax planning and advisory projects, working alongside senior colleagues and specialists
  • Building strong relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to provide additional services
  • Supporting business development initiatives, including client meetings and networking events
  • Managing the delivery of corporation tax compliance work in collaboration with specialist processing teams
  • Reviewing corporation tax computations and advising on complex or contentious tax treatments
  • Coordinating key tax areas including capital allowances, group relief, loss utilisation, and tax payment planning
  • Delegating work to junior team members while maintaining oversight of quality and deadlines
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff, supporting their technical and professional growth

Profile

  • ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification (Part-Qualified DOE)
  • Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax, ideally with some exposure to international tax matters
  • Understanding of accounting principles relevant to tax, including deferred tax and disclosures
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Ownership and accountability for work, alongside a willingness to seek feedback and develop further
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
