Part Time Bookkeeper

We are currently hiring a part-time Bookkeeper for our client based in Cuffley. This role requires 4 to 5 hours per day, 5 days a week. While the position will initially be based in the office, hybrid working may be an option in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Activities

• Check bank accounts for customer payments
• Enter and allocate payments on Sage
• Post sales invoices at the end of each day
• Prepare and send the daily sales report via Excel
• Update the HSBC factoring account system
• Monitor and action the accounts email inbox
• Enter supplier invoices on Sage against POs or for non-stock
• File all financial documentation

Weekly Activities

• Review the sales ledger and chase overdue payments
• Prepare the weekly supplier payment run for approval
• Post remaining bank transactions on Sage
• Reconcile current bank accounts

Monthly Activities

• Send out monthly customer statements
• Post factoring account charges and reconcile accounts
• Revalue currency bank accounts on Sage

Ad Hoc Activities

• Raise sales credit notes for returns or price adjustments
• Follow up on customer and supplier queries
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations
• Manage supplier payments via the import loan facility
• Assist the FD with cashflow planning and month-end close
• Help with ad hoc financial reporting

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience with Sage 200 or a similar accounting system
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Teams
• Familiarity with online commercial banking applications
• Experience with sales invoice factoring facilities
• Knowledge of handling multi-currency transactions
