R&D Tax Manager

Our client, a leading professional services provider, is seeking a dedicated R&D Tax Manager to join their dynamic Innovations Reliefs Team.

In this key role, you will collaborate with businesses ranging from start-ups to global multinationals across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, life sciences, software, and digital technologies.

This is your chance to engage with cutting-edge companies, assisting them in preparing successful Research & Development tax relief claims while broadening your professional expertise in a supportive environment.

• Develop tailored methodologies and oversee the preparation of R&D tax relief claims for submission to HMRC.
• Conduct interviews with clients' technical and finance teams to guide them on the R&D tax relief process and identify eligible activities and expenditures.
• Author clear and compelling technical descriptions of client projects as part of detailed reports.
• Identify and contribute to business growth opportunities, pitching to acquire new projects or enhance existing relationships.
• Act as the main contact for specific R&D software-related projects.
• Leverage computer science or development expertise to mentor junior team members.

• Strong background in computer science and software development, ideally with direct experience in IT or software industries.
• Solid understanding of the UK's R&D tax incentives and the expertise to prepare and submit claims.
• Exceptional writing skills with high attention to detail in technical reporting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and respond effectively to HMRC enquiries.
