Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
• Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements
• Working with cloud accounting platforms including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Supporting the wider team with financial data where required
• Communicating with clients to obtain records and resolve queries
• Ensuring client records are accurate, organised and compliant

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a bookkeeping or similar finance role, ideally within practice
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Excel
• Understanding of VAT processes and bookkeeping fundamentals
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A professional and approachable manner when dealing with clients and colleagues
