Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join a leading accountancy firm in Liverpool. You'll manage audits for a varied client base, lead engagements from planning to completion, and prepare statutory accounts. The role includes supervising junior staff, ensuring compliance with standards, and building strong client relationships across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute audits for a portfolio of clients
  • Prepare statutory accounts and supporting documentation
  • Lead audit teams and review work of junior staff
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients
  • Ensure compliance with audit and accounting standards
  • Use software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and IRIS
  • Contribute to ad-hoc assurance and advisory projects

Profile

A successful Audit and Accounts Senior should have:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified with 2+ years post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience managing people and leading audits
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Sociable, proactive, and progressive in mindset
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to client service
  • Ability to commute to Liverpool city centre

Job Offer

Salary: £43,000-£48,000 DOE

Hybrid working: 2 days per week from home
