Role Overview

• Manage bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank, VAT, payroll and CIS
• Process bills, expenses and supplier payments
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Support the preparation of year-end accounts
• Maintain regular communication with clients and respond to financial queries
• Assist with mentoring and developing junior team members

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice
• Confident preparing VAT returns and managing balance sheet reconciliations
• Comfortable managing multiple client accounts and deadlines
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, with exposure to Sage or QuickBooks beneficial
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Friendly communicator who enjoys building relationships with clients
