Role: Accountant

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 plus excellent benefits

Location: Remote

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours

Our client, a leading Uk Top 40 Accountancy Practice, is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant to work within a niche and pivotal area of the business in this specialist division

Duties for the Accountant:

• manage a portfolio of clients ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and tax returns
• prepare year end accounts
• attend client meetings
• oversee and mentor junior team members
• prepare and review VAT returns, tax computations and advisory schedules

Experience for the Accountant:

• ACA/ ACCA qualified
• proven experience within general practice (ideally with exposure to rural, agricultural or equine clients)
• up to date knowledge of VAT
• strong IT skills to include cloud accounting
• an interest in horse racing and bloodstock
