Financial Controller

REED Accountancy and Finance are actively recruiting a PART TIME Financial Controller for a family based Manufacturing company based near to Wimborne. Managing one member of staff within the finance team, reporting into the Director of the Company.

Financial Controller

£50,000 - £55,000 FTE (pro rata for 25 hours per week)

25 hours a week (4 days - flexile on hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the full day-to-day management of the Finance Department
• Leading financial planning, forecasting, and budget control
• Managing cash flow, banking, and financial risk
• Reviewing and improving financial processes and controls
• Overseeing payroll accuracy and statutory compliance
• Managing general ledger integrity, invoicing, and reconciliations
• Producing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Preparing financial reports and insights for senior leadership
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience in financial management, accounting, or similar senior finance roles
• Strong proficiency in Sage (preferred) or other accounting software
• Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail
• AAT, ACCA, CIMA qualification or part-qualified (desirable) or Qualified by Experience
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and maintain high standards of accuracy
