Year-End / Financial Accountant

Job Title: Year-End Accountant - PracticeLocation: Fully Remote (UK)Salary: £55-£65,000 PAYE Depending on ExperienceContract Type: Contract - Until May 2026

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Year-End Accountant to join a busy practice team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of mainly owner-managed businesses and some SMEs, preparing year-end accounts and corporation tax returns. The role is fully remote with flexibility and the potential to make a real impact across multiple client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of statutory accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102 1A.

• Preparation and submission of corporation tax returns.

• Management of high volume year-end accounts over the busy season.

• Ensure accounts are accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.

• Review bookkeeping records, make necessary adjustments, and resolve discrepancies.

• Liaise with clients where necessary to clarify data and ensure completeness.

• Maintain clear and organised working papers for internal review.

What We're Looking For:

• Part-qualified (QBE) or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.

• Previous experience in a practice environment is preferred.

• Experience with Xero, TaxCalc, or similar accounting software.

• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.

• Comfortable working fully remotely and managing multiple clients simultaneously.
