We're supporting a well-established charity based in Bristol with the appointment of an Interim Management Accountant to provide hands-on support across month-end, reporting and balance sheet control during a busy period. This role requires an experienced, qualified accountant who is comfortable operating in a hands-on environment and can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts to tight deadlines
• Delivery of meaningful variance analysis with clear explanations
• Support and improve the management accounts process, identifying efficiencies and best practice
• Reconciliation and review of key balance sheet accounts
• Support with data reconciliation across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team as required

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Not a first role out of practice - requires prior industry or interim experience
• Strong management accounting and month-end ownership
• High level of attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach
• Comfortable working with and reconciling data from separate systems
• Able to work independently and manage deadlines in a changeable environment
• Charity or not-for-profit experience is useful but not essential

• Duration: 3-6 months
• Location: Bristol (hybrid working)
• Start: ASAP / short notice preferred
