Senior Underwriter - Conventional Power

I'm currently working with a leading global specialty insurer that is looking to hire an experienced Conventional Power Underwriter / Senior Underwriter to join their Energy & Power division in London.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded team underwriting a global portfolio of conventional power risks, working closely with senior leadership to develop strategy and grow a profitable book of business.

You will play a key role in shaping and developing the Conventional Power portfolio, working with brokers and internal stakeholders to build long-term, profitable relationships across the London Market and internationally.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing underwriting strategy alongside the Head of Power

• Underwriting and managing a global portfolio of Conventional Power risks

• Building and maintaining strong broker relationships across the London Market

• Conducting portfolio analysis and steering the book toward sustainable profitability

• Monitoring aggregates, exposures and catastrophe management

• Representing the business in market meetings, industry events and international travel

• 10+ years' experience within the Power insurance market

• Strong technical understanding of Conventional Power risks

• Established broker relationships within the London Market

• Strong analytical and portfolio management skills

• A proactive and collaborative approach

This is a highly visible role within a growing Energy & Power platform, offering the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the portfolio.
