The organisation

Our client is a mid-sized, international bank focusing on transaction banking, treasury/markets and a digital consumer offering, with a particular emphasis on trade finance.

The role

Sitting in the second line of defence, this Enterprise Risk Manager role will support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk, working closely with the Chief Risk Officer. You will help enhance and embed the Enterprise Risk Management framework, strengthen risk governance and oversee risk across all key risk types.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining risk governance and oversight across all risk domains, with a focus on strategic and execution risk.

  • Producing high-quality risk management information and key risk indicators for senior stakeholders.

  • Coordinating and preparing risk MI packs for the Credit Portfolio Committee and Board Risk Committee.

  • Supporting stress testing and scenario analysis for regulatory and internal purposes.

  • Contributing to risk appetite monitoring and reporting.

  • Promoting a strong risk culture and ensuring adherence to relevant policies, regulations and conduct standards.

Candidate profile

We are seeking a motivated risk professional who is ready to step into a broad, visible role.

Essential:

  • Experience within financial services, ideally within a bank or lending-focused institution.

  • Exposure to risk management in the second line (enterprise risk, non-financial risk, operational risk, or risk governance).

  • Strong skills in producing and interpreting risk MI, KRIs and committee reporting.

  • Experience in or exposure to trade finance, transaction banking or corporate/wholesale banking.

  • Experience with stress testing, scenario analysis or risk appetite frameworks.

  • Additional languages would be an advantage, particularly those relevant to an international bank.
