Management Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a growing organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role involves overseeing financial reporting and supporting the accounting & finance department in Hove.

Description

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process for the accounting & finance department.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting processes.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to provide financial support and guidance.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and management accounting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficiency in financial systems and software, such as Excel and ERP systems.
• A thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
