The successful Purchase Ledger Assistant will play a vital responsibility in maintaining accurate financial records, processing purchase invoices, and supporting the company's financial operations. Duties:
  • Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain supplier accounts and ensure all records are current
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries with suppliers and internal departments
  • Support payment runs and month-end activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
  • Assist with ad hoc finance administration tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance/accounts administrative role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritise workload effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and team-focused attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of automotive industry processes or commercial vehicle accounting is advantageous but not essential
  • Relevant accountancy qualification or experience preferred
