Description:

A client of ours in the Halstead area are recruiting a Finance Administrator to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm, although part time candidates will be considered. Paying 26,000 - 29,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience.

Reporting to the FD, key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Payable: Processing supplier invoices, managing employee expenses, and compiling payment runs.
  • Accounts Receivable: Posting bank receipts and following up on late payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Updating and reconciling bank accounts and managing petty cash.
  • Data Entry: Entering accurate financial data into accounting software
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns.
  • Administrative Support: Filing, scanning documents, and resolving supplier or staff queries.
  • Other Ad hoc projects: Streamlining processes and improving financial and management reporting.


Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Finance Administrator position:

  • Working towards AAT accountancy qualification or willingness to work towards this.
  • 1+ years experience within an accounts role
  • Payroll experience/knowledge essential
  • Strong Microsoft excel skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous accounts experience is desirable however training is available
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
