Senior Accountant - Independent Accounting Firm Oxford £35,000 - £48,000 DOE

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Oxfordshire, in their search for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and qualified accountant looking to take greater ownership of their client portfolio while playing a key role in supporting and developing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing accounts for a variety of clients including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and charities
• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Completing personal tax returns accurately and on time
• Overseeing workflow, managing deadlines, and planning work efficiently
• Conducting client review meetings and providing sound, practical advice
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members, helping them to develop their technical skills and confidence

Key Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA qualified (desirable) or nearly qualified
• 3+ years experience in accountancy practice with strong experience in client relationship management
• Experience using CCH and Xero is desirable
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• A proactive, professional approach with the confidence to manage multiple priorities and mentor others effectively
