Your new role
We're looking for an experienced Payroll & HR Systems specialist to lead a fast-paced transformation programme, including a full payroll system migration and the rebuild of HR and rota platforms. If you thrive in complex environments and love bringing structure to chaos, this is your project. What you'll deliver

  • Lead the migration from one system to another with zero payroll disruption
  • Support the rebuild and implementation of new HR and rota systems
  • Redesign and embed efficient, scalable processes across payroll, HR and rostering
  • Strengthen payroll, pension and statutory compliance
  • Drive system integration to reduce manual work and improve data accuracy
  • Provide hands-on leadership to a team of four while maintaining BAU
  • Build strong controls, governance and documentation
  • Own the delivery plan, risks and milestones across the 6-month programme
  • Oversee testing, data validation and parallel runs ahead of go-live
  • Ensure the organisation transitions to a confident, efficient BAU operation

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience leading payroll system migrations
  • Strong understanding of pensions and compliance
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery
  • A calm, structured approach in fast-moving environments
  • Confidence coaching teams and embedding sustainable processes
