Description: PE- Tech business seeking their first FC with flexible hybrid working

A high-growth, technology-enabled business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support the CFO and leadership team during a key phase of international growth.
This is a hand-on, senior finance role with broad responsibility across financial control, group reporting, regulatory reporting and oversight of international finance operations. The role plays a central part in strengthening governance, improving financial processes and ensuring scalable reporting across a multi-entity, cross-border structure.
The Role

  • Full ownership of monthly management accounts and group consolidation.
  • Managing financial control, balance sheet integrity and audit readiness.
  • Oversight of regulatory and statutory reporting.
  • Responsibility for intercompany accounting, VAT, tax and transfer pricing.
  • Oversight of finance operations across the UK and international entities.
  • Leading the transition of overseas accounting activity into a more robust in-house model.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost control and procurement activity.
  • Managing and developing junior finance team members.
  • Driving process improvement, automation and system enhancements.
The Ideal Profile
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Experience within a regulated environment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong background in multi-entity group reporting and consolidation.
  • Excellent balance sheet control and audit experience.
  • Exposure to international finance operations and cross-border accounting.
  • Sound understanding of VAT, tax and financial governance.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, evolving environment.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented and process-driven.
  • Confident working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers.
  • Comfortable in a remote-first / distributed working model.
  • Extensive UK experience, with the right to work in the UK without restriction or sponsorship.
