Hays Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be supporting a well-established, research-driven organisation in Cambridge to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join its Finance function until September 2026 on a contract basis.

Your new role
As Accounts Manager, you'll report to the Finance Manager and your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing general ledgers
  
• Line managing a small team
  
• Supporting with budgeting and forecasting
  
• Assisting with debt collection
  
• Supporting with grant applications
  

• AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) qualification.
  
• Experience working within a fast-paced accounts environment.
  
• Strong IT proficiency - including Excel.
  
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Previous line management experience.
