Your new role As Audit Manager, you will play a key role within the audit and assurance team, working closely with senior leadership and managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring audits are delivered efficiently, to a high standard, and in line with regulatory requirements.You will also contribute to the firm's growth plans, supporting business development activities and helping to shape the future of the audit function. Alongside this, you will lead and develop junior team members, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement across the team.
Manage a portfolio of audit clients across a range of industries
Deliver high-quality audits in a timely and efficient manner
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards
Plan audits, assess risks, and tailor audit programmes to clients
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Manage budgets, billing and recoveries against targets
Support and mentor junior team members, providing feedback and guidance
Contribute to process improvements and audit quality initiatives
Assist with business development and new client tendering
What you'll need to succeed
ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong practice background
Proven experience in audit management
Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Experience using audit software (e.g. MyWorkpapers desirable)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
A proactive and motivated approach with a focus on quality
