Interim Systems AccountantLocation: Taunton (4 days on-site per week) Rate: Up to £300 per day Duration: 6 months Start: July 2026 OverviewA well-established manufacturing business based in Taunton is seeking an experienced Interim Systems Accountant to support finance systems optimisation and ongoing transformation initiatives.This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of finance systems, processes and reporting, with a focus on improving efficiency and supporting the wider finance function. Key Responsibilities
Support and optimise finance systems and processes
Act as a key contact for systems-related queries and troubleshooting
Assist with data integrity, reporting improvements and system enhancements
Support system upgrades, implementations or integrations
Work closely with finance and operational teams to drive efficiencies
Provide user training and support to improve system utilisation
Ensure strong controls and best practice processes are embedded
Candidate Profile
Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems Specialist
Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment
Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial processes
Confident working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to support and train users
Ability to be on-site regularly (4 days per week)
