Management Accountant (12-Month Fixed Term Contract) Location: Exeter - Hybrid Working Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Start Date: ASAP The OpportunityAn established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract.This role sits within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, offering the opportunity to play a key part in supporting business performance, delivering accurate financial reporting, and partnering closely with operational teams. Key Responsibilities
Production of monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Business partnering with operations to provide financial insight and support decision-making
Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
Monitoring cost performance, margins, and KPIs across the business
Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
Identifying and implementing process improvements within the finance function
About You
Part-qualified or newly qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
Previous experience within a manufacturing or fast-paced environment is highly desirable
Strong understanding of management accounting and reporting processes
Confident working with stakeholders across the business
Strong Excel skills and experience with finance systems
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work to tight deadlines
