Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Blackpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys improving processes, driving efficiencies and adding value beyond the numbers. The business has recently completed a major system implementation project and is now looking for an individual who can help optimise reporting, streamline finance processes and support the continued development of the finance function. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the department.Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting commentary
Ownership of month-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls
Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities
Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders
Drive process improvements across finance and wider business operations
Assist with embedding and optimising recently implemented finance systems
Support year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting processes
Business partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding and decision-making
About You
Part-qualified, finalist or qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar role
Strong month-end and management reporting experience
Experience of finance systems implementation, ERP projects or process improvement initiatives would be highly advantageous
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across the business
Proactive mindset with a desire to challenge and improve existing processes
