Management Accountant

Our client in Evesham has an exciting, newly created opportunity for a Management Accountant to help bring their finance function in house.

This is a 6-month FTC with the possibility of going permanent.

Key Duties

• Deliver timely monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Prepare and review profit and loss statements with commentary
• Assist with month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support regular reviews
• Contribute to improving payroll processes by bringing more capability in-house
• Analyse margins, costs, and profitability across projects or business areas
• Identify inconsistencies, inefficiencies, or gaps in financial reporting
• Support forecasting and improve visibility of cashflow
• Help refine internal controls and finance procedures
• Partner with non-finance stakeholders to communicate financial performance clearly
• Collaborate with external accountants, working towards reducing reliance on outsourced support
• Support and guide junior finance team members, encouraging continuous improvement
• Provide insight to enhance performance tracking across multiple business streams

About You

• Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role within an SME environment
• Confident producing management accounts and interpreting financial data
• Strong understanding of balance sheets and reconciliation processes
• Confident improving finance processes and controls
