• Job Title: Management Accountant
• Salary: Up to £50k, DOE
• Location: Peterborough
• Working pattern: Full-time, onsite (flexible working)

Responsibilities:

• Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of three finance professionals.
• Taking ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Managing month-end activities, including accruals and prepayments.
• Producing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Preparing weekly KPI reporting for operational leaders across the business.
• Producing reports and management information for senior stakeholders and the board.
• Managing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practice.
• Overseeing banking and funding facility administration, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
• Supporting statutory, banking, and regulatory audits.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies across the finance function.
• Contributing to a variety of finance and business improvement projects.

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Experience working within a high-volume transactional environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to support your team during busy periods.
• Experience of leading, coaching, or mentoring team members
