This is a hands-on finance role offering strong exposure to senior leadership, operational teams, and commercial reporting. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in improving month-end processes, strengthening financial controls, and enhancing reporting across the business. This opportunity would suit a part-qualified accountant or experienced Assistant Management Accountant looking to progress within the construction, housebuilding, or infrastructure sector.Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting a 5-7 day month-end close process
Assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and commercial finance reporting
Improving financial reporting processes and controls
Working extensively with COINS construction accounting software
Developing and improving Excel-based financial models and reporting packs
Partnering with operational and commercial teams across the business
Skills & Experience Required
Part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or qualified by experience
Previous experience within a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role
Strong month-end accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills including reporting and analysis
Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or housebuilding finance
Experience using COINS accounting software is essential or highly advantageous
Strong understanding of management reporting and financial controls
Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving finance environment
