Financial Accountant - Poole - circa £60,000

Financial Accountant required for a large organisation in Poole where you will provide financial expertise, governance and reporting. They are looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to support a significant accounting standards transition project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in implementing new requirements while working alongside finance, systems and audit specialists.What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting the transition to updated accounting standards
• Gathering, analysing and validating financial data to ensure compliance with new reporting requirements
• Preparing and documenting accounting processes, journals and adjustments
• Supporting the production of statutory accounts and year-end reporting
• Working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth transition and audit process
• Delivering guidance and support to finance colleagues and stakeholders on new accounting requirements
• Assisting with financial systems updates, reporting structures and chart of accounts changes

What We're Looking For

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong experience in financial and statutory accounting
• Experience of accounting standards implementation projects
• Understanding of financial controls, governance and reporting processes
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines
• Confident communicator who can work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
