Overview

A well-established accountancy practice in East Sussex is looking to expand its team with multiple hires at around Semi Senior level. This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career to join a supportive firm that genuinely invests in development and progression.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of clients and responsibilities, with clear progression routes to Senior available for the right individuals. The firm offers a friendly and collaborative working environment alongside full AAT and ACCA study support where appropriate.

This role is Monday-Friday with hybrid working available.

Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Duties

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
• Support senior team members with client portfolios
• Maintain accurate financial records and working papers
• Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Assist with bookkeeping duties where required
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to meet deadlines
• Support with general practice administration and compliance tasks
• Build knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations and best practice

What we're looking for

A successful candidate for this role will have gained over 1 yrs' experience within a UK accountancy practice environment and be able to commute to the office regularly during probation and training.
