The Opportunity

As Audit Senior Manager, you'll take ownership of a varied and prestigious client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser to businesses across multiple sectors. You'll lead complex audit engagements, develop long-standing client relationships, mentor future leaders within the team, and contribute directly to the firm's strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients and serving as their primary point of contact
  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Providing strategic and commercial advice that adds real value to clients' businesses
  • Developing strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
  • Supporting business development initiatives, proposals, tenders, and networking activities
  • Overseeing engagement budgets, profitability, billing, and resource planning
  • Leading, coaching, and developing members of the audit team
  • Reviewing audit methodologies and ensuring technical excellence across assignments
  • Staying ahead of regulatory and accounting developments while supporting team training and development
  • Contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the wider audit and compliance function

About You

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Significant UK audit experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
  • Previous experience operating at Manager or Senior Manager level
  • Strong technical audit and accounting knowledge
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities and build lasting client relationships
  • Proven leadership experience with a passion for developing people
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
