Associate Financial Planner

Join our team of Chartered Independent Financial Planners, recognised by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). We are committed to a client-first approach, ethical practice, and continuous professional development. We are looking for an Associate Financial Planner to work closely with experienced Chartered Financial Planners to deliver high-quality financial planning and wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals and other clients.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with Chartered Financial Planners to support complex and higher value client relationships.
  • Conduct detailed research and technical analysis to support advice given by financial planners.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and complex financial planning calculations.
  • Write suitability reports ensuring compliance, technical correctness, and quality.
  • Provide technical support and qualified knowledge to the financial planning team.
  • Manage client onboarding, engagement, and ongoing servicing including annual reviews.
  • Support business development activities and the profitable growth of the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold appropriate regulatory qualification at QCF Level 4 (e.g., Diploma in Financial Planning).
  • Commitment to achieving Chartered Financial Planner status.
  • Experience within a paraplanning role.
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge of financial planning processes, including products, funds, pensions, and markets.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and restrictions.
  • Proven project management capability and experience.
  • IT literate - proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant internal systems/databases.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
