Credit Controller

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit control professional looking to join a dynamic manufacturing environment. Initially starting on a temporary contract, this role has a clear pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will play a key role in maintaining cash flow, managing customer accounts, and supporting the wider finance function.

We are a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Birmingham, known for delivering high-quality products and maintaining strong relationships with our customers. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Control Assistant to join our finance team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

Description

• Managing and reducing aged debt across a portfolio of customers
• Chasing outstanding payments via phone, email, and written communication
• Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
• Resolving invoice queries in collaboration with sales and operations teams
• Preparing credit control reports and updating internal systems
• Assessing customer creditworthiness and setting credit limits
• Supporting month-end processes and financial reporting

Profile

• Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and customers
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident using finance systems and Excel
• Experience within manufacturing or a related sector is advantageous

Job Offer

• Hourly pay of £15.00 to £19.00, depending on experience.
