London £28,000 - £35,000 + Full ACA/ACCA Study Support

We're working with a highly regarded accountancy practice that is looking to appoint a Business Services Associate to join its growing team in London. This opportunity would suit a graduate, AAT student or early-career accounting professional looking to gain broad exposure across accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and management reporting while studying towards a professional qualification.

You'll join a supportive environment where learning is encouraged, development is structured, and experienced professionals are on hand to help you progress both technically and professionally.

The Role

As a Business Services Associate, you'll work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and sole traders across a range of sectors. You'll gain hands-on experience across core accounting disciplines while developing strong client-facing skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio Completing bookkeeping assignments and maintaining accurate financial records Preparing and submitting VAT returns Assisting with the production of management accounts Reconciling balance sheet and control accounts Supporting senior team members with client projects and ad-hoc assignments Building positive relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

About You

We're keen to speak with individuals who are ambitious, eager to learn and looking to establish a successful career within accountancy practice.

You'll ideally have:

  • A strong academic background Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment or a genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical ability and attention to detail Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines A proactive and positive approach to learning

It would be advantageous if you are currently studying towards, or have completed, the AAT qualification.
