Accounts Assistant (9-Month FTC) (4 DAY WEEK)

  • Altrincham (Hybrid - 2 days from home)
  • £30,000 - £35,000

We are supporting a well-established organisation in Altrincham with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing high volumes of sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
  • Managing customer queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently
  • Monitoring aged debt and supporting credit control activities to optimise cash collection
  • Maintaining and updating customer account records within the finance system
  • Assisting with the preparation of regular financial reports
  • Supporting month-end processes including reconciliations and accruals
  • Providing general finance support and assisting with ad hoc duties when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an accounts or finance role
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
