Accounts Semi-Senior - Study Support Available Looking to take the next step in your accountancy practice career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Accounts Semi-Senior to join a growing and progressive accountancy practice in Tonbridge. This is an excellent role for someone with around two years' practice experience who is eager to develop their technical skills and progress within a supportive and friendly team. Working closely with experienced accountants and managers, the successful Accounts Semi-Senior will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients whilst receiving ongoing support and development opportunities.About the role As an Accounts Semi-Senior, responsibilities will include:
Preparing VAT returns for a diverse client portfolio
Completing bookkeeping duties using cloud-based accounting software
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
Supporting the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Processing and reconciling bank accounts and control accounts
Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance work
Liaising directly with clients to obtain financial information and resolve queries
Supporting senior team members with client accounting projects
Ensuring client deadlines are met accurately and efficiently
Building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
This role offers excellent exposure to accounts preparation and provides a clear pathway for career progression within the firm.What we are looking for
Around 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice environment
AAT qualified or currently studying towards a professional qualification
Experience preparing VAT returns and bookkeeping
Strong communication and organisational skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
A positive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and progress
Experience with cloud accounting software would be advantageous
