Payroll Specialist

Cheadle, Greater Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home)

Full Time Permanent

• Processing end-to-end payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Collating, validating and interpreting payroll data from clients
• Managing payroll reconciliations and year-end processes
• Performing manual calculations where required
• Responding to payroll queries and resolving issues within SLA timeframes
• Analysing payroll output to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
• Maintaining payroll procedure documentation and client records
• Liaising with internal departments and statutory bodies where necessary
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function
• Assisting with training and supporting junior team members where appropriate

• Minimum 2 years' UK payroll experience
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
• Previous experience processing payroll end-to-end
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
• Comfortable working to strict payroll deadlines
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
