Campbell Grove Talent are working with a brilliant independent accountancy firm based in West Yorkshire, and this one genuinely stands out from the crowd.

Why? Two things: the culture and the 35-hour working week. No guilt about leaving on time, no unwritten rule that staying late makes you a better employee. Just a well-established firm that values its people and has done for over a century.

We're on the lookout for a qualified Tax Senior, or someone who has recently qualified and is ready to take that next step, to join a close-knit, friendly tax team where you'll actually be supported to grow.

The firm works with a genuinely varied client base; owner-managed businesses, start-ups, charities, and larger corporates, and they take a refreshingly personal approach to every single one of them. This isn't a conveyor belt; you'll get to build real relationships and see the impact of your work.

The Role

A great Tax Senior opportunity, ideally with a focus on corporation tax, though mixed tax experience is equally welcome, and the role will be shaped around the successful candidate as there's lots to get stuck into! This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just compliance work, there's real scope to get involved in planning conversations and develop your advisory skills alongside the day to day.

Day to day you'd be looking at:

Corporation tax compliance across a varied and interesting client portfolio

Personal tax and wider mixed tax work where relevant

Preparing tax computations and supporting more complex advisory work

Building and maintaining strong client relationships across a range of sectors

Keeping on top of tax legislation changes and flagging opportunities and risks for clients

Supporting senior members of the team with HMRC enquiries where needed

What we're looking for

You'll need to be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent, a strong background in corporation or personal tax, and ready to hit the ground running. More than anything, they're looking for someone who's personable, takes pride in their work, and genuinely wants to do right by their clients.

This could also suit a Tax Senior already in role who's been waiting for the right environment to really flourish, somewhere that will invest in you rather than just pile work on you.

Sound like you?

If you're ready to take your tax career forward without compromising on quality of life, we'd love to hear from you. Please apply with your CV or get in touch with Lucy Regan or Emma Dugdale for a confidential chat.
