This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a collaborative and forward-thinking firm that prides itself on delivering exceptional client service and fostering long-term relationships.

As Personal Tax Manager, you will oversee a varied portfolio of private clients, providing expert tax compliance and advisory services while working closely with partners and supporting the development of junior team members.

Your key responsibilities as the Personal Tax Manager:
  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, sole traders and partnerships.
  • Reviewing and preparing self-assessment tax returns.
  • Providing proactive personal tax planning and advisory services.
  • Advising clients on areas including capital gains tax, inheritance tax and residency matters.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted adviser.
  • Managing client deadlines and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.
  • Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Supporting, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior members of the tax team.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance client service and contribute to business development.

To be considered for the Personal Tax Manager position, you will be/have:
  • ATT and/or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience).
  • Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice or specialist tax environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
